The Clare champions reached the quarter finals of the competition last season, before losing out to Janesboro from Limerick.
Local rivals Avenue United ended their involvement in the provincial cup, and manager Mike O'Malley is hopeful they can bounce back on Sunday.
Kickoff on Sunday at McDonagh Park is at 1.30pm
