The Blues beat Limerick champions Granagh/Ballingarry this afternoon by 1-12 to 1-6.
The goal came in the opening half from Ann Marie Hayes.
Newmarket also played most of the game with 14 players after Carol O'Leary was sent off on a straight red card early on.
