The May meeting of Clare GAA Board saw the election of a new President, an update on the board’s finances and a progress report on development plans for Cusack Park.
Cooraclare's Tadgh Murphy is the new Clare GAA president with the full backing of the meeting.
The former Chairman succeeds the late Hendy Neylon of Michael Cusacks, and says its an honour.
Treasurer Bernard Keane outlined the expenditure of Clare GAA to the end of April. A total of €602,387 has been spent, including €343,651 on team expenses.
Michael Curtin confirmed that a submission on the development of Cusack Park has been made to Croke Park and will come before the infrastructures committee in the coming weeks.
The meeting also heard details from County Coaching and Games Manager Sean Chaplin of plans by the Munster Minor Review Committee to reverse the decision not to allow schools who amalgamate to compete at Corn Uí Mhuiri.
