New Leinster head Coach Leo Cullen has confirmed that Kevin McLaughlin will Captain the side in the absence of other senior players during the World cup.
McLaughlin has won two Heineken Cup trophies with Leinster starting in both final wins over Northampton Saints and Ulster Rugby.
He has also won an Amlin Cup and three PRO12 titles with the province.
Irelands World cup pool D oppoenents France have selected Wesley Fofana and Mathieu Bastareaud in the centre for their second warm up game with England this Saturday.
Overall they've made 12 changes to the side that was beaten by England at Twickenham last weekend.

Former Wales Captain Ryan Jones has been forced to retire.
The versatile forward, who's 34, played all three Tests for the British and Irish Lions during their tour of New Zealand in 2005 taking over as Captain from Brian O'Driscoll after the Irish centre got injured.
Jones, who had been playing for Bristol, says he can't carry on – after recently having an operation on his shoulder.
