Galway native Alan Flynn takes over the role from the outgoing Mick Bohan, who has stood down due to family reasons.
Bohan will continue his involvement with Clare's underage development squads.
Tuam Stars clubman Flynn joins Colm Collins backroom team having led the Tribesmen to the All Ireland U21 title in 2013.
