New Clare captain wants no repeat of 2011 league start

New Clare captain Alan Clohessy says making up for the disappointing start to last year’s league campign is the big motivation ahead of this Sunday’s clash with Waterford.

Clare lost their opening two league matches in 2011 and also had two players sent off in both games which derailed their bid for promotion.

The Liscannor man,named as the 2012 captain, told Clare fm they can’t let it happen again :

A provisional side for Sunday has been named but Micheal Mc Dermott is expected to make a number of changes before throw in due to late fitness tests.

Shane Mc Grath starts at centre forward while Shane Mc Neilus is named at full back.
