Tuamgraney clubman Diarmaid Nash progressed to the last-eight of the ‘Race for Eight’ Pro-Stop tournament in Houston, Texas overnight.
After two wins in the qualifiers section of the Mens Open, Nash won his third match of the day convincingly against Allan Garner.
His quarter-final against Anthony Selestow of Wisconsin is at 6.00pm this evening Irish time.
Meanwhile, Barry Nash and Declan Frawley were both in Intermediate Singles action in the Munster championship against Cork opposition last night, Nash defeated Ger Healy while Frawley was unlucky to lose 21-18 in the third game against Shane Hediagan.
Minor Doubles pair Fergal Coughlan and Jacob Loughnane defeated Tipp in three games while in Under 21 Doubles Patrick Fitzgerald and Ciaran Malone are through to the Munster Final.
