Nadal into Austrailian open final

Rafael Nadal came from a set down to beat Roger Federer and advance to his second Australian Open final.

Federer won the opening set in a tie break but Nadal  who won the title back in 2009, took the next three sets 6-2 7-6 6-4.

The 2009 winner will now face Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray in Sundays final – they play tomorrow.

Meanwhile the womens final will be contested by Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka.

Sharapova beat Petra Kvitova while Azarenka got the better of defending champion Kim Clijsters.

The added incentive for both players is that the winner of Saturdays final will also become the new world number 1.
