Corofin have denied Munster Intermediate silverware after defeat to Kerry’s Na Gaeil in Mallow this afternoon.

The Clare Champions made the trip to Cork to compete in the decider for the first time in 2006 and take their first ever intermediate Munster title.

There was only three points separating the sides at the half time whistle – with a missed Corofin chance at goal meaning the sides could have been tied at the break.

But a relentless flurry of goals from the Kerry Champions proved too serious a blow to recover from, with the game eventually going the way of Na Gaeil.

Full time score was Na Gaeil 6-15, Corofin 1-12.
