Ballyea captain James Murphy feels the depth of leaders in their group has been a central factor in their recent success.
Murphy followed in the footsteps of Stan Lineen, Tony Kelly and Jack Browne in lifting the Canon Hamilton for the club after victory over Eire Og in this year’s decider.
A Munster club semi-final against Cork champions St Finbarr’s awaits on November 20th with the game set to be played in Cusack Park.
Murphy says the leaders in the dressing room all guide the team when the time is right
Meanwhile Tony Kelly is praising the groundwork put in by previous squads which has allowed them bring success to the club.
Prior to the maiden title in 2016, Ballyea had only ever reached one county final in the clubs history 13 years prior to their breakthrough.
Kelly says that group provided the platform for the current squad to build on
Elsewhere, Eire Og manager Mattie Shannon admits his side can have no complaints about their loss.
The Townies led by three points as the game entered the closing stages, but conceded the last four scores of the game to narrowly miss out.
Shannon says their players gave a huge effort, but just came up short.
