Munster LGFA Denies Claims Of Involvement In Clare LGFA Meeting Postponement

Munster LGFA has moved to clarify it had no involvement in the decision by Clare LGFA to cancel its planned July meeting on Monday night.

The provincial body issued a statement late on Monday evening in which it outlined that it had nothing to do with the meeting not going ahead, despite Clare LGFA claiming at lunchtime that the decision was taken on the advice of Munster.

It is the latest twist in what has been a hugely controversial week for Clare ladies football, with two failed attempts now having been made at holding their July meeting to ratify club championship fixtures.

Munster LGFA say concerns around adherence to Rule 161 of the Ladies Football guidebook was behind the move to cancel the meeting last night, with that rule dealing with the required make up of a county board executive.
