The South African born flanker is now eligible for selection for Ireland, having completed 3 years with Munster and qualifying as a naturalised player.
He will lead the province out against Connacht in Saturday's top of the table PRO12 clash, and Stander says he's looking forward to finding out if he will wear the green jersey in the new year.
