Clare's new minor hurling manager will be ratified later this week.
The first trials ahead of the 2015 season took place this past weekend, ahead of the expected appointment of former Clare All-Ireland winner Kenny Morrissey in the role.
He replaces Eamon Fennessy, who is to take over as selector, in a reshuffle that is due to be voted on by the Clare County Board when they meet on Thursday night.
Elsewhere, Cork county board have confirmed that coach Kieran Kingston is stepping down.
Kingston has been part of manager Jimmy Barry Murphy's backroom team but says he can't continue due to work commitments.
The board says Barry-Murphy will confirm his full backroom team in due course.
