Morey back from injury for Minor Semi Final

One change in personnel has been made to the Clare Minor hurling Side for tomorrow’s All Ireland Hurling Semi Final against Dublin from the team that lined out against Down in the quarter finals in Mullingar.

Alex Morey returns from injury, and take up the Centre Half forward position for the first time this year, Jamie Malone reverts to the bench.

Eamon Fennessey has also made a number of positional changes with Niall Deasy moving from wing forward to Full, Jamie Shanahan moves from wing forward to Mid- Field and Aidan O Gorman who started that game at mid –field, moves to wing forward .

And the team in Full :

At Full back Brian Carey of Sixmilebridge is flanked by Captain Shane O’Brien of Clonlara and Clarecastle’s Gearoid Ryan.

Aiden McGuane of Kilmaley, Conor Cleary of Saint Joseph’s Miltown and Whitegate’s Eoin Quirke make up the half back line.

Jamie Shanahan of Sixmilebridge is partnered by David Conroy of Saint Joseph’s Doora/Barefield at midfield.

Alex Morey of Sixmilebridge is at Centre forward flanked by Broadford’s Shane Taylor and Aidan O’Gorman of O’Callaghans Mills.

Then Clarecastle’s Bobby Duggan, Niall Deasy of Ballyea and Eire Og’s Shane O’Donnell make up the full forward line with Feakle’s Eibhear Quilligan in goal.

This is the Banner side’s third successive All Ireland Semi Final having lost out to Galway last year, while in 2010 they saw off Dublin to make it to the final, only to be defeated by Kilkenny.

The current crop of Clare minors have been beaten twice already in the championship – Losing to Waterford in the First Round and then conceding to Tipperary in the Munster Final before overcoming Down in the All Ireland Quarter Final –

However Dublin Minor Manager Shay Boland  says they won’t be underestimating their Clare opposition.
