Clare’s representatives at the 2012 Women’s Interprovincial Matches in Cork have made a mixed start to the competition.

Ennis golfer Sarah Cunningham lost her opening foursomes match against Leinster opposition yesterday, before beating Karen Delaney 2&1 in their afternoon singles encounter.
Meanwhile, Lahinch’s Sinead Sexton halved her opening foursomes before losing to Mary Dowling 4&3 after lunch.
Munster lost their match with Leinster on a score of three-and-a-half to five-and-a-half.
The competition continues with a match against Ulster today – the Northerners whitewashed Connacht 9-0 yesterday.
