Clare’s secondary schools experienced mixed results in the opening round of the TUS Dr Harty Cup.
St.Flannan’s lost out to Limerick City outfit Ardscoil Rís on a full time score of 0-14 to 0-08 in a contest which saw Clare hurlers battling it out on both sides.

In Cork meanwhile, Middleton CBS got the better of Rice College to prevail on a full time score of 1-17 to 0-14.
Although the champions of 2022 got off to a winning start as St.Jospeh’s Tulla made a successful trip to UL where they defeated Pobal Scoil Na Trionide of Youghal by 0-17 to 2-06.
