Mixed feelings over new football proposals

Former Clare football Captain Alan Clohessy has admitted he has mixed feeling’s about the new Football review committee’s plans for the sport.

Under plans revealed on Monday, players who receive a yellow card will now be replaced by a substitute in an effort to stamp out cynical play while a mark system  will also be introduced for catches outside the ’45

The proposals will be debated and voted on at Congress next Spring with the second part of the committee’s report into Fixtures and competitions to be published in the new year.

Liscannor forward Clohessy welcomes some of the proposals but admits he has  reservations about others.
