In news of hurling and the manager of St. Flannan’s says his side may not have benefited from their man advantage in yesterday’s Harty Cup loss to Waterford Colleges.
The Ennis school lost by a point, 1-13 to 1-12, even though Waterford Colleges played the entire game with 14 men after Kiernan Power was sent off before throw-in.
Speaking after the game, John Minogue suggested that the incident may not have worked out in his side’s favour.
Waterford Colleges will now take on De La Salle Waterford in the semi-final, after they beat Middleton CBS
Meanwhile,
Ardscoil Ris will take on either Thurles CBS or Nenagh CBS in their semi-final after a 2-17 to 1-7 win over Castletroy College.
Clare minor Jamie Shanahan of Sixmilebridge started yesterday’s game for Ardscoil, while Parteen’s Cian McCarthy and Clonlara’s Micheál O’Loughlin both came on as substitutes in the 13 point win.
Manager Derek Larkin says the game was much tighter than the scoreboard suggests.
