One of Clare’s key defenders feels their first half efforts against a gale force breeze sowed the seeds of success in the National Ladies Football League Division 3 Final.
A first half goal from Ailish Considine helped Clare to head to the dressing room level against Roscommon with the Connacht playing with the aid of the elements in the opening period.
Clare’s defensive efforts restricted Roscommon to just one score from play in the entire game, with that being a late goal which ensured a nervy finish before the Banner secured their two point victory.
