Micko backs selectors to take over as Joint Clare Managers

Football legend and outgoing Clare Manager Mick O’Dwyer has backed his former selectors Ger Keane and Mike Neylon to takeover at the helm of Senior Football in the county.

Clare County Board Chairman Michael McDonagh has confirmed he’s approached the Saint Senan’s Kilkee clubman Keane and Neylon of Saint Joseph’s Miltown to take the job of joint managers, with the departure of O’Dwyer.

Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus Mick O’Dwyer said his former selectors are fanatical about football in the county and has no doubt they will do a great job for the Banner- which he feels could be a serious contender within a few years

Meanwhile as Micko confirms that’s he’s left the door open for other potential management offers – Clare’s County Board Chairman has praised the legendary Kerryman.

Michael McDonagh has also wished him well in any future endeavours.
