Rory McIlroy says he was a little bit “taken aback” by some of the criticism that came his way after having a round of golf with Donald Trump.
He accepted an invitation from the US president to play alongside him at the Trump International course in Florida last week.

McIlroy said while he can understand why it may have annoyed some people he was simply being polite by saying yes
