Rory Mc Ilroy is the only non Olympic or paralympic nominee on the shortlist for the BBC Sports personality of the year award.
Some of the others on the list include Olympic gold-medallists Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis, along with Paralympic stars such as David Weir and Ellie Simmonds.
