Rory McIlroy will make his return to competitive golf today in the opening round of the 2015 US PGA Championship.

The world number one will be part of the marquee group today at Whistling Straits when he joins Open champion Zach Johnson as well as US Open and Masters winner Jordan Spieth.
It’s McIlroy’s first tournament since he ruptured his ankle ligaments playing football.
The other Irish in action this week are Darren Clarke, Shane Lowry, Grarme McDowell and Padraig Harrington.
They all get their first rounds underway this evening.
