Killaloe Paralympian Jonathan McGrath is aiming for a place in a global final today, when he takes to the pool at the IPC World Swimming Championships in Montreal.

Jonathan, who took up the sport after watching the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, swam in London last year and just missed out on a spot in the final.
He’s now looking to go a step further this time around, and is one of 12 athletes who go in the heats of the S8 400m Freestyle event just after 3:00 Irish time, and hopefully the final after 11:00 tonight.
Jonathan says today marks a big step on the Road to Rio 2016.
