McEvoy Says Olympic Spot Would Be Culmination of ‘Lifelong Dream’

An Ennis swimmer says getting a spot on the plane to the Tokyo Olympics would be the culmination of a lifelong dream.

Rory McEvoy is training at the High Performance Centre in Dublin ahead of the Irish Olympic Trials next month.

The 22-year-old will look for the second spot on the Irish team for the 100 metre backstroke event, along with Shane Ryan who competed at the 2016 Rio Games.
