Micháel McDermott has been re-appointed as manager of the Clare Senior Footballers.
The Cavan native was the only nominee for the role at last night’s county board meeting, and was ratified for a third year in charge of the team.
McDermott has stated that Clare’s key goal in 2012 will be to secure promotion from Division 4 of the National Football League, while the Banner will also be hoping to improve on this year’s Championship performance which saw them lose both matches to the 2010 All Ireland Champions Cork and beaten finalists Down.
