Clare football manager Micháel McDermott is hopeful that referees will "err on the side of caution" when implementing the new handpass rule in this Sunday’s Munster Senior Football Championship Quarter-Final clash with Waterford.
The new rule was heavily criticized following last weekend’s first weekend of Championship action, after referees penalized hand passes which were deemed legitimate.

McDermott, however, has told Clare FM that he doesn’t think the new rule will cause as many problems this weekend.
