The Republic of Ireland squad begin the long journey today for Fridays World Cup qualifier in Kazakhstan.

The squad will leave at 11 am this morning and not arrive until just after 7 o’clock this evening Irish time.
Manager Giovanni Trapatonni has hinted that Jon Walters will start alongside Captain Robbie Keane with Simon Cox on the wing ahead of James McClean.
