Wigan’s James Mc Carthy is out of Wednesdays friendly with Croatia after picking up an ankle injury playing for his club in a pre-season match, the young midfielder could be out until November.
Stoke defender Marc Wilson is also a doubt but did report for duty and will be assessed by medical staff while Aston Villa’s Ciaran Clark was added to the squad yesterday in the absence of Damien Delaney.
