Alex McLeish has resigned as Birmingham City manager.
The Blues had previously insisted that they wanted McLeish to remain in charge at St Andrews despite their relegation from the Premier League.

McLeish’s decision has prompted speculation that he’s about to join local rivals, Aston Villa.
