John Mc Intyre has stepped down as Galway hurling manager.
The former Offaly boss was due another year subject to ratification by the county board whose principal officers had been in discussions with Mc Intyre in recent weeks.
The Hurling board will meet next week to agree a process to find a new manager.
Mc Intyres depature now means there are now 6 Hurling vacancies across the country,including Clare,Limerick and Waterford.

Michael Ryan who coached De Le Salle to a Munster club title last season has declared his interest in taking over as Waterford manager, Ryan also managed the Waterford ladies footballers to all Ireland titles in the 90’s.
