The weekend of May 8th and 9th is the target date for Clare’s senior hurlers when they return to the training pitch in ten days’ time.

That’s the date pencilled in the calendar for the beginning of Division 1 of the Allianz National Hurling League – with Kilkenny, Dublin, Wexford, Laois and Antrim to come in five of the following six weeks for Brian Lohan’s side.

No division 1 hurling league final is scheduled, with the association saying there will either be joint winners for 2021, or if the two teams who win both 1A and 1B meet in the championship, it will double up as a leagyue final, much like Clare’s clash with Limerick last year.
