Roll of honour leaders Newmarket face 2004 champions Kilmaley in the Clare Senior Hurling Relegation Final with both sides looking for the win that save their status.

Newmarket have never dropped out of the senior ranks while Kilmaley have maintained their place in the top flight since making the step up over 30 years ago.

Eoin Brennan of the Clare People feels Kilmaley's greater scoring threat could be crucial

That one gets underway in Sixmilebridge at 4pm.

At the same time in Cusack Park, Clonlara and Tulla do battle in the quarter finals with both sides looking to move one step closer to being crowned champions.

Clonlara boss Damien Power says while they carry the favourites tag into the game, it will count for little when the ball is thrown in.

That one starts at 4pm in Cusack Park.

The second quarter final at HQ this evening pits Ballyea against Crusheen.

That one starts at 5.30pm

There are also quarter finals down for decision in the Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship today.

The first of those gets underway at 1.15pm in Shannon as the second strings of both Cratloe and Sixmilebridge face off.

It's a 5pm start in Tulla as Broadford take on Scariff.
