Marcus Horan announces retirement from rugby at end of season

Veteran Munster and Ireland prop Marcus Horan has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old told his Munster team-mates of his decision this morning as the prepares to end a 14-year career that has seen him win 67 Ireland caps as well as representing his province over 220 times.

The Clare native was part of Ireland’s famous Grand Slam winning team in 2009 as well as Munster’s Heineken Cup victories in 2006 and 2008.
