March County Board Meeting Is Held

Regradings and a small number of isolated player cases were the main focus of the March meeting of Clare County Board last night.

Central Council delegate Ger Hickey also presented his report from the central council meeting this year, with many delegates expressing disappointment at the changes to the Feile Na nGael competition, which sees perceived "stronger" counties no longer entering the competition, but instead competing in a separate regional competition.

Treasurer Bernard Keane revealed expenditure for the first four months of the financial year stands at 439,000, with 255,000 of this going on team expenses.

Cusack Park development was briefly discussed – Chairman Michael McDonagh said a financial plan was currently in development and will be presented to clubs in due course.
