Man Utd legend in line for Villa job

Norwegian side Molde have confirmed that their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in discusion with Aston Villa about taking the managerial role.

Villa sacked Alex Mc Leish earlier this week following a poor season.

Former Manchester Uniterd striker Solskjaer led Molde to a first ever Norweghian title.

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has refused an approach from Liverpool regarding an interview for the manager’s job.

Rodgers led the Welsh side into the top flight last season and took them to mid table security with an exciting brand of football.

Rodgers may have refused an interview but it’s believed that up to 12 candidates will be spoken to.

Pep Guardiola, Rafa Benitez, Fabio Caplelo and Jurgen Klopp are amongst those who have been linked to the position.
