Man Utd joint top after 3-0 win

Manchester United have moved level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League after a 3-0 win over Bolton.

Tottenham missed the chance to match the leaders after being held 1-1 at home by Wolves.

Fourth-placed Chelsea overcame Sunderland 1-0.

Frank Lampard grabbed the game’s only goal at Stamford Bridge.

Blackburn are off the bottom and out of the relegation zone after a 3-1 victory over Fulham.

Liverpool and Stoke drew 0-0 – Aston Villa against Everton finished 1-1 – and Norwich beat West Brom 2-1.

It remains close at the top of the Championship after the top two both won today.

Leaders Southampton overcame Nottingham Forest 3-0, while West Ham secured a 1-0 win at Portsmouth.

It was a bad afternoon for their nearest challengers – Cardiff could only manage a goalless draw at struggling Doncaster, while Middlesbrough lost 2-0 to Burnley at the Riverside.
