The St Joseph’s Miltown Malbay clubman polled polled 151 votes in comparison to 41 for his opponent Noel O’Driscol.

The O’Callaghans Mills man told the meeting he was bitterly disappointed at the result-accusing club’s of having "told untruths" to him about their intentions.

Elsewhere as expected Sean O’Halloran was elected unopposed as new PRO, Rosie Monaghan succeeded Des Crowe as Assistant Secretary and Anne Hayes is the new Irish and Cultural Officer.
