The make-up of the Clare Senior Football Championship Semi-Finals has become clearer this afternoon, with at least one shock in the Quarter Final action.
Doonbeg are out of the championship, beaten by St. Joseph’s Doora-Barefield.
The Magpies had led by four points at one stage in the second half, but the underdogs fought back and clinched the win by a single point, 0-7 to 0-6.
Cratloe were victorious in the opening game of the afternoon, beating Lissycasey 2-07 to 0-06 – the goals there came from Seanie Collins in the first half and Cathal mcInerney in the second.
They’ll now play Kilmurry Ibrickane in the semi-final, after the 2009 county champions overcame Cooraclare by a single score, 0-7 to 1-3.
Meanwhile Kilkee and Wolfe Tones will have to play a replay after they drew 0-12 to 2-06.
