After a week which saw both sides battle for the right to avoid a coin toss, and for their fate to be decided on the field, Dublin won Saturday's clash against a brave Banner outfit.
The match finished 1-11 to 0-12 in favour of the Dubs, who were then knocked out by Wexford in yesterday's Quarter Final.
Clare captain Kate Lynch says it was a difficult loss to stomach.
Meanwhile, there was one result last night in the Clare Minor B Hurling Championship.
Clonlara beat Cratloe 2-20 to 2-15.
