Lowry wins Portugal masters

Shane Lowry has landed his first professional Tour win – landing the Portugal Masters by a single shot from Ross Fisher.

The Offaly player bogeyed the 18th hole to take a 66 today, Fisher had a four foot putt for par on the last, that would have taken it to a play-off but it lipped-out and Lowry is the last man standing on 14 under par.

Lowry’s only other win was the Irish Open in 2009, when he was still an amateur and had to hand over the winner’s cheque to his losing opponent.
This time he nets 375 thousand euro.
