The 2009 Irish Open champion was one of the most impressive performers at yesterday’s 36-hole qualifying tournament at Walton Heath.
Fresh from his joint-fourth place finish at Wentworth on Sunday, Lowry comfortably made it through after finishing on eight under with rounds of 69 and 67 – one shot behind out-right winner, Nicolas Colsaerts.
