Former All Ireland winning Clare manager Ger Loughnane says that the 2014 hurling championship is shaping up to be one of the best in recent years.
The Feakle man has been speaking ahead of the Ger Loughnane Cancer Challenge, which will see some of the most notable figures in hurling take part in a Championship preview event in Ennis, while Clare's senior hurlers will also take on their Dublin counterparts in a challenge game.
The events take place on May 23rd and 24th.
All eyes are turning to Championship, following Kilkenny's League final over Tipperary, and Loughnane has told Clare FM's Morning Focus that he thinks Davy Fitzgerald's side can 'just' hold off their rivals.
Meanwhile, Clare GAA fans are being invited to meet the county's senior hurlers and footballers this week.
The Banner squads will both hold open evenings at Cusack Park in Ennis over the coming days.
Davy Fitzgerald's All-Ireland winning hurlers will meet their fans on Wednesday evening from eight o'clock while Colm Collins and the Division 4 Finalists hold their open event on Friday from seven.
