Double All Ireland winning Clare manager Ger Loughnane has backed the Banner to become the dominant force in hurling in the coming years.

Speaking at Saturday nights All Ireland U21 Medal Presentation, the Feakle man said he believes Kilkenny are losing their sense of danger in the wake of the recent retirement of the likes of JJ Delaney, Tommy Walsh and Brian Hogan.
He says there's now a gap in the market that Clare can fill, and that he thinks the Banners success at underage level can be translated to senior level.
Doora Barefield man and GAA journalist Christy O'Connor agrees, and says Clare have set the standard for other counties to reach.
