Clare boss Brian Lohan is expressing his frustration at the decision to award a controversial penalty against his side which turned the tide of the contest in their 3-23 to 2-22 Munster semi final loss to Tipperary.
Tony Kelly’s goal just before the break saw the Banner go in a point ahead at half time after Ian Galvin’s early strike had given Clare the perfect start.

Aidan McCarthy was sent to the sin-bin in the early stages of the second half with referee James Owens ruling that his foul on Jake Morris near the sideline had denied the Premier a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
Lohan says he is at a loss as to how that decision was reached.
