Liverpool Storm Past Spurs to Top PL Table

 

Liverpool are top of the Premier League table this evening.

They thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 4-nil in their Premier League tie at Anfield. 

A Younes Kaboul own goal set Liverpool on their way in the second minute. 

Luis Suarez added their second goal before half time, while Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson sealed the win with second half strikes. 

It means Liverpool move two points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table, while Spurs remain 8 points behind fourth placed Arsenal. 

Liverpool's cross town rivals Everton claimed a crucial 3 points against Fulham in their race for a top four place. 

They won 3-1 at Craven Cottage this afternoon, thanks to an own goal from Fulham 'keeper David Stockdale and two further strikes from Kevin Mirallas and Steven Naismith. 

The a result leaves Fulham rooted to the bottom of the table, 5 points away from safety, while Everton move to within 4 points of fourth placed Arsenal, with a game in hand. 

Everton face Arsenal next weekend, in a crunch tie.
