Lissycasey and Killimer will do battle in this year’s Clare Junior A Football Final.
Killimer will hoping to bounce back to the Intermediate grade at the earliest opportunity after overcoming Kilfenora by 3-14 to 1-09 in yesterday’s semi-final.
Mikey Kelleher, Paul Browne and Alan Behan all found the net for the winners, with Luke Callinan firing over 0-03, along with two-pointers from Cian Corry and Jack Kelleher securing their passage.
The final will be a Shannon Estuary derby after Lissycasey overcame Kilmurry Ibrickane in their semi-final in Kilrush today.
The Quilty men led at the break, with Damien Lynch kicking 0-06 from play, including a two-pointer while Leo Switzer found the back of the net.
A stronger Lissycasey emerged on the restart however with Ewan Wragg and Seán Hayes raising green flags, and despite a double of late majors from Kilmurry’s Enda Coughlan, they prevailed on a scoreline of 2-18 (24) to 3-09 (18).
