Ahead of the Lions first game in Australia this morning Rob Kearney says he’s hopeful of recovering from injury before the test series begins.

The Leinster and Ireland full back is recovering from a hamstring injury but has written in his diary in the Irish Independent that he may still get the chance prove his fitness ahead of the first test.
The 27 year old has a grade one hamstring tear.
This morning Warren Gatlands side face Western Force in Perth with Tommy Bowe, Brian O’Driscol, Jonathan Sexton, Conor Murray, Cian Healy, Rory Best, Sean O’Brien and Jamie Heaslip all starting.
Kick off is at 11.
