Limerick have been dealt a blow just days before their national hurling league final with the news that Andrew O Shaughnessy has retired from hurling
The 26 year old who won an all Star in 2007 quit the panel just days before his side were due to play Clare in the league final in Cusack Park this Saturday.

The Kilmallock forward was diagnosed with a serious illnes in 2009 and, had not featured in Limerick’s last three league games in Divison two.
Meanwhile both sides are putting the finishing touches to their preparations for this weekend’s encounter in Ennis with the starting 15’s expected to be announced this evening.
