O'Grady walked away after comments that he and his management team had apologised for their performance against Offaly in the league weren't retracted publically but the board says that efforts were ongoing to finalise an agreed statement clarifying matters.

It has been confirmed that TJ Ryan will serve as sole manager until the conclusion of this year's championship and it was also agreed that the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer in consultation with the team management would identify and appoint a hurling coach as a priority.
